Experience the “Birth of a Brunello” (the racking of the new wine) October 5-6 at Fattoria dei Barbi

The Fattoria Dei Barbi in Montalcino invites you to an extraordinary event: the “Birth of a Brunello” on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6.

Guests will enter the cellar during racking, when the fermentation finishes and the winemaker tastes the new wine for the first time.

Guided groups of visitors will be get to watch and they, too, will be able to taste the new as soon as it is racked off from the fermentation tanks. A totally unique experience!

Optional lunch and/or dinner will follow the cellar tour at Taverna dei Barbi. The menu will feature classic dishes to pair with Brunello (meal not included in ticket price).

The schedule is as follows for both days.

First “racking” group: 11 a.m. with winemaker Stefano Cinelli Colombini.

Second “racking” group: 4:30 p.m. with winemaker Stefano Cinelli Colombini.

Tours of the historic cellar will also be available at: 12 p.m., 3:30, and 5:30 p.m.

Tours of the Brunello Museum will be available at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Price: €20 per person (including all activities but not including meal). Reservations encouraged.
