Celebrate the Brunello harvest by hiking through the vineyards with winemaker Stefano

This Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, Fattoria dei Barbi owner and winemaker Stefano Cinelli Colombini will be leading hiking tours of the estate’s vineyards at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Harvest has already begun at Fattoria dei Barbi and they will begin picking the Sangiovese for Brunello di Montalcino any day now. There couldn’t be a more perfect moment to hike through the vineyards with legacy winemaker Stefano, who played in those very same vineyards as a child.

Tours of the winery’s historic cellar and Brunello museum are also available. Currently, the museum is hosting an exhibit of photos and artefacts from the Cinelli Colombini family archives (something truly extraordinary).

Of course the tasting room is also open (regular hours) and the estate’s restaurant, Taverna dei Barbi, will be serving a harvest-inspired menu of Montalcino classics.

Email to reserve one of the hikes or tours. And email to reserve at the restaurant (English is spoken).
