Following the publication of our last post on Stefano Cinelli Colombini’s new book (Portraits), which will be presented for the first time this weekend at the estate, a number of readers were curious about the photo, above, from the wedding of Franco Biondi Santi and Maria Floria Petri. Here’s a translation of the label that will accompany the photograph at the show currently being mounted at the Brunello Museum at the Fattoria dei Barbi estate. The people who appear in the photo give you an idea of the closely related “first families” of Brunello.
The photo above comes from the Cinelli Colombini family’s personal archives.
It was taken at the wedding of Franco Biondi Santi and Maria Floria Petri, known as Boba.
From left, the relatives of the bride, Giovanni Colombini (uncle) and Clio Padelletti (mother).
On the right, the relatives of the groom, Anna Tomada (mother) and Tancredi Biondi Santi (father).
Boba’s father had passed away and so she walked down the aisle with her uncle Giovanni Colombini.
