It’s May 15. That’s fruit from a strawberry tree in the photo. But it’s not supposed to be here until the fall.
It’s cold. Not like last week [see below] but it’s cold. After months of drought, it’s been pouring down rain.
I might be wrong but it seems like we need to start gearing up for farming that can resist extreme weather events.
I’m not interested in the debates as to whose fault it is.
But we better get started. Otherwise, there’s not going to be enough to eat in a little while.
What spectacular green here in Montalcino this morning [May 7]. After three nights of going to bed with the fear that a freeze was going to happen, it’s a great way to wake up!
