The harvest has begun!
And as in years past, we are participating once again in a classic event organized with every vintage by the Movimento Turismo Vino Toscana (Tuscany Wine Tourism Movement): It’s called Cantine Aperte (Open Cellars) and for decades now, it has allowed millions of wine lovers from every part of Italy to experience their favorite wineries firsthand.
Fattoria dei Barbi will be opening the doors of its winery to any all wine lovers and lovers of the country life as part of our celebration of the current harvest.
On Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. each night, you can spend the day in our Sangiovese vineyards, including a guided hike with Stefano Cinelli Colombini, owner and winemaker at Fattoria dei Barbi.
Hikes begin at 4 p.m., with groups departing every hour until 7 p.m.
You can also visit and taste in our historic cellar.
Cellar tours begin at 10 a.m., every half hour through 6 p.m., and include a visit to the estate’s Brunello Museum.
And of course, what visit to the Fattoria dei Barbi would be complete without a lunch or a dinner at the Taverna dei Barbi, the estate’s classic Tuscan restaurant.
The 35 euro per person ticket includes all the above activities and lunch or dinner.
We look forward to share the colors, aromas, and flavors of the Montalcino harvest in the heart of Brunello country!
