The 2015 harvest in Brunello di Montalcino is sizing up to be a great one.
Rain during the third week of August was just what growers needed. It cooled off the vineyards and brought milder temperatures in the wake of an otherwise very hot summer.
Good weather since then has created the ideal conditions for what may be one of the best vintages of the decade.
Just look at those healthy bunches above! That’s winemaker Stefano tasting the first Brunello grapes to arrive at the cellar for vinification.
